Duties and responsibilities:
Health Information specialists post and analyze medical,
workload, finance, and insurance data. Health information specialists make sure
that information is properly recorded into medical records. There is variety of
jobs within this topic, there’s Registered Record Administrators, Accredited
Record Technicians, and Certified Coding Specialists. Administrators coordinate the various
information management responsibilities and supervise. Technicians make sure
medical records are accurate, and specialists assign and post correct diagnosis
and procedure.
Average Salary: $20,000 - $25,000
Education: Students should take high school courses in
business, information management, science, math, and English. Students must
have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Specialist must pass and examination.
They must earn an associate degree from an accredited college program or from
the American health information management Association Independent Study
Program.
I would not like to be health information specialists because
I’m don’t think it’s interesting.
