This quote shows how these two men have different attitudes. One sees the bad (mud) in the situation and the other sees the good (stars). If we have the a good attitide we  will always see the good and do great things with your life. If you always see the bad and have a bad attitude you will always bring the negative towards you.

I think persistence relates to this quote because persistence is like not giving up no matter how diffucult. For example, my classes are pretty hard this year and i must have persistence to pass them all. I should not give up because it will pay off later in the future like how the picture shows us. We should never give on what we want but always choosing the RIGHT. This quote states that without a goal, theres no point like the ship with rudder. Theres no point of trying if you dont know what your going for. This relates to our Life Planning Goals because theres no point to try if we dont have goals.

  Assertiveness is the quality of being self-assured and confident without being aggressive. In the field of psychology and psychotherapy, it is a learnable skill and mode of communication.

This quote means that assertiveness is being confident and bringing up what you think about a topic. Being confident of your thoughts and doing what you like and just being yourself. Also, doing what you want in a nice, not aggressive way.

This quote represents accountability because this word has meaning of responsibility.If you want to be someone you got to show others what you need to do to become it. For example, if i want to be someone or do something i like i have to be responsible and do what i'm suppose to.
